FrontStreet Coffee - Introduction to Kilimanjaro Coffee
The main coffee growing regions in Tanzania are located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. This area boasts nutrient-rich volcanic soil, and some coffee trees planted here are over 100 years old. Coffee was first introduced by Christian missionaries from Kenya and cultivation began thereafter. The coffee trees must be carefully nurtured with regular weeding and fertilization. Additionally, old branches must be pruned to allow new shoots to grow, maintaining the quality of coffee beans. The processing facilities for coffee beans are quite well-equipped; coffee beans are considered an important economic crop in Tanzania, and the local government places great importance on this industry.
Tanzania's premium coffees not only have gentle acidity but also enticing aromas, making them truly exceptional value in the coffee world. Tanzania's coffee exports occupy an important position in the entire national economy. The production of peaberry coffee is quite large, and it's said to be more fragrant and mellow than regular coffee. Generally speaking, Tanzania's coffee beans possess extraordinary quality. For example, the premium Tanzania Chagga AA grade coffee produced in the Moshi district near Mount Kilimanjaro is famous for its full-bodied beans and aromatic qualities.
Kilimanjaro Coffee is produced from Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain range in northeastern Tanzania. Its coffee quality is excellent, with rich aromas, prominent acidity, and is suitable for blending into various coffee combinations.
Kilimanjaro Coffee is a vital economic lifeline for Tanzania, with approximately 17% of foreign exchange earnings generated by coffee. The main production areas are concentrated around Mount Kilimanjaro near Arusha in the northeast - the Kilimanjaro volcano, Africa's highest peak perennially covered with snow. Kilimanjaro Coffee represents one of the finest Tanzania AA coffee beans, nurtured by volcanic ash and perfected by nature. The coffee carries unique cocoa fruit aromas and has a strong, mellow richness.
