FrontStreet Coffee - Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee Introduction
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is a famous coffee variety with extremely limited production, making it expensive. Pure Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the world's most ideally cultivated coffees. Jamaica's climate is cool, with frequent fog and high rainfall. The soil contains rich nutrients and has excellent drainage systems. In terms of coffee growing conditions, this combination is considered ideal climate and soil. Traditionally, what can be called Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee grows at elevations between 3,000 and 5,500 feet (1,700 meters). Among these, Wallenford is the most important and famous coffee estate (state-owned), while Wallenford Mavis Bank, Silver Hill, and Moy Hall are relatively well-known brands.
The Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee we mention is certified by the Jamaican national government as a national treasure-level cooperative. The altitude is approximately 1,300-1,800 meters, with farms producing and selling their own products. Due to dense population, fog coverage, low humidity, and annual rainfall reaching up to 200 inches, plus good shade effects provided by dense forests, these factors slow down the maturation process of coffee cherries. From flowering to harvest takes up to 10 months, allowing sufficient time to develop rich, balanced, and full-bodied flavors. Jamaica Blue Mountain has dense buttery sweetness, subtle floral aromas, delicate fruit acidity, rich body, high complexity, multi-layered complexity, and uniform mouthfeel.
Flavor Profile
The aroma is very rich with persistent fruit notes.
Pure Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee perfectly blends the unique acidity, bitterness, sweetness, and richness of coffee, creating a strong and attractive elegant fragrance that other coffees cannot match. Those who love Blue Mountain Coffee say: "It is the 'coffee beauty' that combines all the advantages of good coffee." Jim, the general manager of Pete's Company, famous for operating coffee and tea in the United States, described Blue Mountain Coffee as: "Its flavor is aromatic, smooth, and rich, giving me the feeling of being as precious as a gem. It is precisely because Blue Mountain Coffee's flavor is moderate and perfect that it is generally consumed as black coffee."
