Honduras

Honduras has approximately 280,000 hectares of coffee plantations with about 565 million coffee trees, over 95% of which are small farms. More than 120,000 households participate in coffee production, with most coffee plantations being smaller than 3.5 hectares. 70% of these families own less than 2 hectares each, and these smallholder coffee plantations account for 60% of Honduras' total coffee production. Central farms make up about 3%, while large farms account for approximately 2%.

Since 2007, under the leadership of IHCAFE (Honduran Coffee Institute), Honduras has improved its coffee cultivation environment and raw bean processing facilities, as well as enhanced port export efficiency. Although its international market recognition was still relatively low at the time, there was significant improvement. In terms of production, during 2011-2012, Honduras became well-known in Central America for its coffee, harvesting approximately three million bags annually.

Morod Manor

Morod Manor is located in the Lempira sub-region of Honduras. The Arabica coffee trees grown locally tend to be relatively short, typically reaching about 3 feet in height, which makes them very convenient for harvesting. In the acidic soil and warm environment, the farm's raw coffee beans are uniform in size, producing coffee with a smooth mouthfeel when extracted.
