FrontStreet Coffee - Costa Rica Dota Tarrazu Introduction
Many beginners don't know how to choose coffee, mainly based on their taste preferences. Do you like acidity, bitterness, or high sweetness? These can all be selected. Today, I'd like to introduce a washed coffee bean from Costa Rica, suitable for friends who love fruity acidity and fruit flavors!
Tarrazu in Costa Rica is one of the world's major coffee-producing regions, where the coffee produced has a mild, pure flavor and pleasant aroma. Costa Rica's volcanic soil is very fertile and has good drainage, making it the first country in Central America to grow coffee and bananas for commercial value.
High-quality Costa Rican coffee is called "Strictly Hard Bean" (SHB), which can grow at altitudes above 1500 meters. Altitude has always been a challenge for coffee growers. The higher the altitude, the better the coffee beans, not only because higher altitudes increase the acidity of coffee beans, thereby enhancing flavor, but also because the lower night temperatures at higher altitudes slow down tree growth, making the coffee bean flavor more concentrated. Additionally, the altitude difference creates abundant rainfall, which is very beneficial for the growth of coffee trees.
