FrontStreet Coffee - Rwanda Coffee Introduction
Rwanda, located in the Central African region, borders Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, Burundi to the south, and Congo to the west. As a standard landlocked country, all its neighboring countries are major coffee producers. For many years, Rwanda coffee beans have been exported abroad through Uganda to Kenyan ports.
Known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills," Rwanda has a tropical highland climate and savanna climate in most regions, which is mild and cool. With numerous mountains and plateaus, it has approximately 33,000 hectares of coffee plantations. Blessed with excellent natural conditions including high altitude and fertile volcanic soil, Rwanda's rich soil and suitable climate contribute to excellent plant growth, allowing coffee trees to thrive exceptionally well.
Beautiful Rwanda has a long and rich culture of growing highland coffee, primarily focusing on high-quality Arabica coffee cultivation. Rwanda is one of the few countries in the world that can fully enjoy the harmony between soil, altitude, and climate. In this unique growing environment, Rwanda's high-quality coffee possesses distinctive taste and aroma.
Besides its sweet fruit flavors, Rwanda coffee also features "grass fragrance" and tropical climate characteristics, giving people a refreshing and fresh feeling. The fruity sweetness of Rwanda Bourbon coffee is astonishing, with its rich and full aroma leaving an endless aftertaste. This coffee has delicious, citrus-like sweet fragrance and a deep chocolate color. Rwanda Bourbon coffee is praised as "the coffee that concentrates the essence of Africa."
Rwanda coffee is deeply loved by coffee enthusiasts for its high-quality washed Arabica coffee beans and is becoming increasingly famous in the international market. Coffee carries the hopes of the Rwandan people. They hope to increase coffee exports to promote the country's economy and wish that the former Hutu and Tutsi tribes will work together to cultivate coffee and build a better future.
Kivu noir upholds this vision, leading hundreds of local women from the Tutsi community in Rwanda to work diligently in cultivation, creating a better future.
