Why Some Coffee Has Chocolate Flavor - The Best Sources of Chocolate-Flavored Coffee Beans
FrontStreet Coffee - Brazil Minas Caramujo Estate Introduction
Brazil's traditional impression includes low-altitude cultivation, mechanical harvesting, and favorable pricing. Due to its high body content and distinct chocolate flavor, it plays an indispensable role in coffee blends.
In the southern region of Minas, Brazil, several small producing areas in the town of Caramujo are places where high-quality beans are consistently produced throughout the year. These regions are also representative areas in the Cup of Excellence (COE). Caramujo's status in Brazilian producing regions is comparable to that of Burgundy and Bordeaux in French wine regions, featuring excellent terroir and mild climate.
Within Caramujo town, different small producing areas, different plots, different harvest dates, and various processing methods create batches of Brazilian specialty coffee. These include rare Geisha varieties at an average altitude of 1100-1300 meters, the world's few remaining ancient variety Sudan Rume, and Red Bourbon cold cherry mixed processing that people describe as creating a "fruit explosion" when tasted.
