FrontStreet Coffee - San Agustin Huilan Washed Colombia Introduction

Colombia is currently the world's third-largest coffee producer, using washed processing for Arabica coffee beans. The most important factor is that active volcanic activity has created some of the world's most fertile soil, cultivating coffee beans that are sweet, fragrant, very appealing, and easy to brew successfully.

Coffee beans from Colombia's Huilan region are among the finest premium coffees in Colombia. Their balance is widely recognized as the best coffee. The coffee beans grown here have a full mouthfeel, heavy texture, and possess nutty, chocolate, and caramel aromas with smooth, pleasant fruit acidity.

The Huilan region features mountainous terrain, with coffee planted on the slopes of valleys, providing the high altitude suitable for growing quality Arabica beans, as well as ideal temperatures. The climate of the valley slopes not only prevents cold winds from entering but also provides cool mountain breezes without high temperatures, and rainfall is relatively abundant. This can be described as a uniquely blessed coffee cultivation area. Additionally, Colombian coffee workers manually harvest coffee bean fruits (also known as coffee cherries) on the mountains, allowing for careful selection of the most mature and plump fruits. Furthermore, the vast majority of coffee beans use washed processing, and after medium roasting, they offer a light and smooth mouthfeel when brewed.
