FrontStreet Coffee - Panama Boquete Natural Butterfly Coffee Introduction
The most captivating characteristic of this natural Butterfly coffee is that within its rich, full-bodied texture, we can still experience bright fruit acidity. The taste is clean, with light and refreshing fruit aromas and floral notes lingering in the mouth—exceptionally charming. Much like this love story, though substantial, it reveals freshness and happiness everywhere, reaching deep into the emotions.
This natural Butterfly coffee comes from the Baru Volcano region of Panama's Boquete growing area. It contains 60% Geisha variety, with the remainder composed of Catuai and Caturra, growing in volcanic areas at an altitude of 1600m. The special microclimate of the volcanic region brings abundant rainfall, while the huge temperature difference between day and night allows coffee cherries to store more sugar. Combined with the unique volcanic rock soil of the volcanic region and meticulous processing, this natural Butterfly coffee becomes remarkably charming in body, acidity, and floral notes.
The reason it's a blend is that the estate pursued higher yields in its early days, mixing Geisha, Caturra, and Catuai in planting. Therefore, to facilitate harvesting, they no longer classify them separately but instead process them together directly. This can be considered a coffee bean with exceptionally high cost-performance.
Due to the blended nature of this Butterfly coffee, we ultimately chose medium-light roasting. This not only preserves the characteristic floral notes and bergamot flavors of Geisha but also enhances its body, bringing rich berry and cherry pulp juice sensations, giving it more layers and complexity. Like the love in the eyes of these young people, simple yet full of ups and downs, brimming with emotion.
