FrontStreet Coffee - Costa Rica Mirazu Estate Natural Geisha Introduction

Estate owner Esteban Sanches graduated from the Coffee Department of Costa Rica Agricultural University. He is known as a "scientist" coffee farmer because he approaches coffee cultivation with a scientific perspective and continuously learns through practice. From the orientation of coffee seedlings to row spacing and fertilization sequence, he meticulously arranges every detail.

Estate owner Sanches was originally a family member of La Candela Estate. Due to his dedication to coffee beans, he established his own estate called Mirazu. The machines at the estate, from design to assembly, were all built by Sanches himself. The modified machines he created are particularly powerful. What he takes most pride in is being able to process all coffee beans using only 100 liters of water, better protecting water resources.

Sanches also modified and designed his own roaster and huller. His huller differs from ordinary ones in that it can process two different types of beans at once. Because he dedicates his time and energy to researching machines and coffee, nearby farmers call him "Dr. Machine" and "natural process expert."

In his coffee garden, Sanches says that the quality of coffee begins with the trees themselves. Although machines can separate good from bad, if the quality grown is consistently good, there's no need for machines to distinguish superior beans. He also says that God gave us a beautiful environment, and we care for the coffee beans with love - this is giving back and sharing.
