Nicaragua is an economically underdeveloped agricultural country and one of the poorest nations in Central America, with high unemployment rates and impoverished living conditions. Coffee serves as Nicaragua's pillar industry, producing nearly 100,000 tons of coffee beans annually. Due to poor economic infrastructure, the coffee industry remains relatively underdeveloped, and coffee farmers continue to live in poverty. Nicaragua's growing conditions are not inferior to other Central American countries—its shade-grown high-altitude coffee offers a well-rounded, balanced flavor with acidity that is not overly sharp.

The primary factor for its lack of recognition has been the devastation of war and hurricanes, which prevented individual farms from maintaining continuous operations. Without historical records for green bean merchants to trace and reference farm information, and like many Central American countries, their turbulent colonial history has hindered the development of high-quality coffee. It was only after 2003 that good coffee began to emerge gradually. As a latecomer, they have already achieved remarkable success! High-quality Nicaraguan coffee now ranks among the world's finest coffee beans, enjoying an excellent reputation.

The suitable climate provides an excellent growing environment for coffee cultivation. Mineral-rich volcanic ash soil offers abundant nutrients for coffee trees. Premium Nicaraguan coffee is also predominantly grown in the northern and central highlands of the country. Coffee is Nicaragua's pillar industry, producing nearly 100,000 tons of coffee beans annually. Many who have tasted Nicaraguan coffee give it excellent reviews. Abundant rainfall, suitable temperatures, high altitude, and fertile soil create a unique growing ecosystem that forms the foundation for Nicaragua's high-quality coffee.

For pour-over Nicaraguan coffee, we recommend using 15 grams of coffee grounds, water temperature between 88-89°C, and a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio with BG-6S filters. This pour-over extraction method yields a clean, bright flavor with abundant sweetness, complex layers, and persistent fruity aftertaste, featuring high sweetness and gentle acidity.
