FrontStreet Coffee - Honduras Sherry Coffee
The most popular Honduras Sherry coffee beans, processed with whiskey barrel fermentation. This bean is filled with charming aroma, having a sweet fragrance similar to Scotch whiskey, and also carries fruit notes like honey and pear when tasted.
Honduras Sherry is also a coffee with special post-processing. Coffee produced in Honduras previously had rich sweetness and moderate mouthfeel, but lacked attractive aroma upon entry. To achieve aroma upon entry, processing plants began researching methods to increase aroma, leading to this whiskey barrel low-temperature fermentation processing method for Honduras Sherry.
Whiskey barrel low-temperature fermentation does not actually soak coffee beans in alcohol, but rather creates whiskey aroma through adding special bacterial cultures in the coffee bean fermentation pool. This processing method gives Honduras Sherry an amazing performance - before even tasting, the captivating whiskey aroma reaches your nose. The acidity is like the natural sweet and sour taste of honey, along with the juicy, refreshing sweetness of snow pear, creating a feast of taste buds intertwined on the tip of your tongue.
Brewing Parameters
Water Temperature: 93℃
Coffee-to-Water Ratio: 1:16
Time: 1 minute 40 seconds
Brewing Method
Place the folded filter paper in the filter cup and rinse it with hot water. Pour out the water from the sharing pot. Evenly pour the coffee grounds into the filter paper and gently flatten. First pour 20g of water for a 20-second bloom; the coffee dust will expand like a hamburger. Wait until the coffee grounds expand to their highest point, then continue pouring water from the center in circular motions outward, expanding the circles. At this point, simply extract with even circles until you have 288g of liquid, until all the liquid in the filter cup has passed through.
