What are the Characteristics of Mandheling Coffee Beans and How Different are They from Espresso Coffee
FrontStreet Coffee - Mandheling Coffee Introduction
Sumatra Mandheling GAYO coffee beans are grown at an altitude between 750-1500m, belonging to Indonesia's rare Arabica coffee beans. It features a rich flavor, high purity, and a vibrant chocolate-like dynamism that is smooth and lubricating. Mandheling coffee may be the world's most mellow coffee, with a jumping micro-acidity mixed with the richest light cream aroma, allowing you to easily experience the lively factors within gentle richness. Additionally, there's a faint earthy aroma, which some describe as the fragrance of herbal plants.
Due to the wet-hulling processing method, the coffee beans have a relatively high moisture content, appearing deep green in color. The low acidity with excellent thickness is a true portrayal of Mandheling. Whether for espresso or pour-over coffee, Mandheling always provides you with a unique taste experience.
Mandheling can be used for both single-origin and espresso coffee. When used for espresso, it is often blended with other varieties, creating espresso with distinct fruit acidity and caramel flavors, with a richness and mellowness that surpasses single-origin Mandheling.
