FrontStreet Coffee - Colombia Finca La Divisa Washed 60-Hour Fermentation Geisha Micro-Batch
Finca La Divisa, located in Colombia, is owned by Elcias, one of the first producers to participate in the renowned 90+ specialty coffee project initiated by Colombia's leading exporters. This opportunity allowed him to visit the United States, meet with green coffee buyers and roasters, and gain deeper insights into the market.
This season, we bring you a micro-batch washed Geisha from Finca La Divisa. Grown at an altitude of 1,800 meters, the coffee's sweetness is enhanced by the significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.
This micro-batch Geisha undergoes a 60-hour washed fermentation process. Compared to standard washed processing, this method incorporates dry fermentation and extends the fermentation time, resulting in enhanced flavor clarity and increased sweetness from the coffee cherries. This approach gives the green beans a more elegant profile while enhancing sweetness and complexity. The coffee beans are evenly dried for approximately 15 days, resulting in a cleaner and more consistent cup.
The floral characteristics of this coffee are exceptionally rich, far exceeding what you would typically find in coffees at similar price points. In this coffee, you can experience classic washed processing flavors including floral notes, orange, plum, and green tea.

Flavor Notes: Orange blossom, apricot, bergamot, white peach oolong, high clarity
Knowledge Point: Light roast primarily emphasizes acidity and flavor characteristics. If the roasting process is not handled properly, it can result in astringency and harshness, while the coffee's body and aftertaste may feel less substantial.
