Hawaii Island is the largest island in the Hawaiian Islands archipelago, thus also known as the Big Island. Kona coffee is produced in the western and southern regions of the Kona district on Hawaii Island. Coffee trees are scattered across the slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa, where the altitude ranges from 150 to 750 meters, perfectly suitable for coffee cultivation. The excellent quality of Kona coffee benefits from its ideal geographical location and climate. Coffee trees grow on volcanic mountain slopes, and the geographical location ensures the altitude required for coffee growth.

The dark volcanic ash soil provides the necessary minerals for coffee growth; the climate conditions are extremely suitable. In the morning, gentle sunlight passes through moisture-filled air, while in the afternoon, the mountains become more humid and foggy. Flowing white clouds in the sky serve as natural umbrellas for the coffee trees, and nights become clear and cool, but never frosty. These suitable natural conditions make the average yield of Kona coffee very high, reaching 2,240 kilograms per hectare, while in Latin America, coffee yield per hectare is only 600-900 kilograms. The limited production makes prices comparable to Blue Mountain coffee, and together they are known as "the king and queen."

In 1813, a Spaniard first planted coffee in Manoa Valley on Oahu Island, which today has become the main campus of the University of Hawaii. In 1825, a British agriculturalist named John Wilkinson transplanted some coffee from Brazil to Chief Boki's coffee plantation on Oahu Island. Three years later, an American missionary named Samuel Reverend Ruggles brought coffee tree branches from Chief Boki's garden to Kona. This coffee is a descendant of the earliest Arabica coffee trees that grew on the Ethiopian plateau, and to this day, Kona coffee still maintains its noble and ancient lineage.

Crossing between 19 and 22 degrees latitude, south of the Tropic of Cancer, the Hawaiian Islands, caressed by trade winds, are a naturally perfect coffee growing region. This fiftieth state of the United States, located 2,400 miles from the US mainland's west coast, is the only coffee-producing state in America. The Kona coffee produced in Hawaii enjoys international reputation and is acclaimed as one of the world's finest coffees. The volcanic soil and tropical climate, complemented by mild humidity and regular afternoon showers, create an ideal growing environment that seems straight out of an idyllic pastoral, adding delicate yet unique flavor characteristics to the coffee beans here.

Overall, Hawaiian coffee has a medium-light body, medium-strong aroma, and achieves a harmonious balance with its relatively bright acidity. This is truly one of the world's best coffees, with notes of drupe fruits and chocolate, delivering a smooth and delightful taste!
