The GUJI new producing region has achieved outstanding performances in many competitions in recent years. GUJI mainly includes three major areas, currently divided into Uraga, Hambela, and Shakiso. In early 2019, coffee travelers and cuppers visited various processing plants of different sizes throughout Guji and discovered that the altitude in this area is generally above 2000 meters. During the day, due to proximity to the equator, direct sunlight and strong UV rays are intense. At night, due to the extremely high altitude, there's a chill in the air while enjoying local beer with estate owners at the hotel.

With the significant temperature difference between day and night and excellent sun exposure, coffee cherries can grow solidly. The high altitude also makes coffee cherries particularly small yet possessing explosive flavors.

"Camellia" is located in the emerging Hambela area at an altitude of 2200m. In recent years, this region has often produced amazing coffees, and many exporters have established processing plants of various sizes here. However, due to occasional ethnic conflicts in the GUJI region, indirect or remote management by exporters is not easy. Yet, despite these difficulties, direct contracting with processing plants composed of local small farmers, with very strict and experienced farm management, has unexpectedly won major awards.

Previously, it was specifically mentioned that this area's microclimate has stable rainfall, and small farmers around the processing stations cultivate relatively new varieties. Due to altitudes above 2000m, the natural terroir makes coffee present explosive flavor profiles. Guji belongs to the southwestern producing region of Ethiopia, with a plateau terrain, featuring regular dry and rainy seasons with sufficient water supply. Near the processing plants, there are winding small rivers and underground mountain springs, providing abundant and clean water resources for coffee growth, which is one of the reasons for the delicious coffee.
