AFCA's Taste of Harvest Overview

AFCA's Taste of Harvest (TOH) is an annual African specialty coffee competition held alongside the African Fine Coffee Conference exhibition. Coffees from AFCA member countries including Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia all take part in this regional competition. The prestigious cupping contest aims to select the best origin coffees from the entire value chain—from seed to cup. After the TOH competition, an online auction platform run by green coffee auction houses showcases and promotes the coffees with distinctive origin character. Washed processed beans feature very bright, uplifting acidity, prominent floral and fruit aromas, and a juice-like mouthfeel!
