FrontStreet Coffee - Sidamo Lion King Introduction
Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and Sidamo is an important coffee-exporting province. Due to the unique topography, soil composition, and regional microclimates, coffee beans grown in different towns within the province exhibit subtle variations in flavor. Washed Sidamo is a typical specialty coffee, deeply loved by Taiwanese people, known for its clear taste, lime-like acidity, and excellent balance.
Sidamo's coffee flavors are incredibly diverse, with different soil types, microclimates, and countless native coffee varieties creating distinct differences and characteristics in the coffee produced by each town. From 2010-2012, it received continuous high ratings of 92-94 points from the authoritative American coffee review website Coffee Review for three consecutive times, demonstrating the exceptional value of green beans from this region! The area features towering mountains, highlands, plateaus, valleys, and plains, creating diverse topography. The region's geology consists of nutrient-rich, well-drained volcanic soil, with a depth of nearly two meters, and the surface soil appears dark brown or brown. The greatest advantage of this area is that soil fertility is maintained through natural organic matter cycling, using fallen leaves and debris from surrounding trees and plant residues as natural fertilizers.
This batch is produced by the Shilsha Cooperative located near Dilla town. The cooperative was established in 1976 and is currently a member of the Sidama Coffee Farmer Cooperative Union (SCFCU). We have further screened the coffee to select this batch, which demonstrates excellent flavor performance.
