FrontStreet Coffee - Colombia Pour-over Coffee Sharing
There are many factors that affect the flavor of a cup of coffee, and the coffee-to-water ratio in pour-over coffee is one of them. Some people believe that the amount of coffee grounds itself has no impact, and what actually affects the taste is the extraction time. So, is there an optimal golden coffee-to-water ratio for pour-over coffee? How does coffee taste with different coffee-to-water ratios?
The so-called coffee-to-water ratio refers to the relationship between the amount of coffee added to the filter basket and the total amount of extracted coffee liquid, usually presented in the format [1:xx], meaning the ratio of 1 part coffee grounds to how many parts water.

Brewing Details and Precautions:
1. Use a fine water flow during the initial brewing stage, and switch to medium-fine water flow in the later stages. The water flow in the later stages should be such that the coffee grounds no longer tumble in the water.
2. Keep the pour-over kettle lid open during brewing.
3. It's recommended to use 20g of coffee for brewing. Compared to 15g, the 20g dose allows for better control of water flow during both blooming and brewing, with relatively higher flavor integrity.
4. The grind size of coffee beans becomes finer as the storage time extends.
5. The brewing water temperature should be higher as the storage time extends.
Knowledge Extension:
Colombian coffee has strong regional characteristics. The country's coffee-producing regions are located in the Andes Mountains, where the climate is mild and the air is humid.
