FrontStreet Coffee - Introduction to Supreme Kenya Kiambu Washed

Kenya is located in eastern Africa, with the equator running through its central region and the East African Rift Valley extending from north to south. The eastern coastal area has an altitude of about 500 meters, while the western highlands form the eastern part of the East African Rift Valley, with elevations ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 meters. From east to west, the altitude gradually increases. The coast consists of plains, while the western region is characterized by highlands. The climate falls within the tropical monsoon zone, primarily featuring tropical savanna climate. Kenya's coffee-producing regions are mainly concentrated in the highland areas represented by Mount Kenya. The tropical monsoon climate and acidic red volcanic soil provide naturally suitable growing conditions for coffee.

Grade Classification

Kenyan coffee beans are classified by particle size, typically categorized from largest to smallest as AA, AB, C, T, TT, MH, and ML, with quality also decreasing in this order. AA+ is the highest grade of Kenyan coffee, and only batches with particularly excellent flavors and minimal defects are permitted to be labeled as such. AA consists of large-sized green beans with relatively low production. AB is slightly smaller than AA and accounts for the majority of production. Additionally, small quantities are classified by bean shape as PB (Peaberry) and E (Elephant). Broken beans that don't meet the above grades are classified as HE.

As a world-renowned specialty coffee-producing country, Kenya is known for its rich floral and fruit aromas and bright acidity, making it a prominent brand in the coffee world. It's a popular imported coffee brand domestically. FrontStreet Coffee would like to introduce the Supreme Kenya Kiambu Washed from Kenya.
