FrontStreet Coffee's Pour-Over Coffee Bean Recommendation: Honduras Sherry Introduction

Why drink single-origin coffee? This question actually has no definitive answer, just as some people love red wine but don't like white liquor. Liking is just liking, and drinking is just drinking. However, FrontStreet Coffee has this kind of thinking: once you encounter something, you want to delve deeper into it. So since we're drinking coffee, we should try single-origin coffee. And since we're drinking single-origin coffee, we should understand them to some extent!

Asia - deep flavors and rich mouthfeel; Africa - enchanting fruit acidity; Central and South America - balanced, moderate acidity, and mellow. The flavor of beans from each country is different. Today, FrontStreet Coffee specially recommends a whiskey barrel-fermented coffee. That's right, it's the Honduras Sherry that was hugely popular in 2019.

What is Premium Washed Whiskey Sherry Barrel Fermentation Processing?

This processing method involves first performing premium washing on freshly harvested coffee cherries, then placing them in Sherry oak barrels that have been aged with whiskey for low-temperature fermentation for 30-40 days (temperature approximately 15-20°C), followed by shade drying.

Knowledge Extension:

Honduras has 280,000 hectares of coffee plantations, mainly small-scale coffee farms, with most coffee plantations being less than 3.5 hectares. These coffee plantations account for sixty percent of Honduras's total coffee production.
