Brief Introduction to the Differences Between FrontStreet Coffee's Mandheling and Espresso Coffee
FrontStreet Coffee's Mandheling includes various regional Mandhelings such as FrontStreet Coffee's Lintong Mandheling and FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling, among others. These Mandhelings have certain differences in flavor and taste. Locally, coffee beans widely grown in Sumatra and other Indonesian islands are almost all called Mandheling. Depending on the region and green bean supplier, these names are used to distinguish Mandhelings from different areas.
FrontStreet Coffee's Mandheling is a single-origin coffee, also suitable for inclusion in blends for espresso coffee. Today, FrontStreet Coffee will briefly share with you the star of Mandheling coffee - FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling.
FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling is actually produced from Mandheling beans acquired locally in Indonesia by Pwani Coffee Company, which subsequently registered the name "Golden Mandheling." Therefore, the Mandheling produced by this company is the authentic Golden Mandheling.
FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling is produced in the Lintong region of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. The harvesting process is limited to hand-picking individual fully ripe cherries, ensuring preliminary bean selection quality. The coffee cherries are processed using the semi-washed method, naturally sun-dried, and after hulling, undergo another drying refinement process, two green bean cleaning sessions, and four hand-picking processes! Therefore, it can be said to be a strictly selected premium FrontStreet Coffee Mandheling. The "PWN" marking on Golden Mandheling is the abbreviation for Indonesia's Pawani Company, whose Golden Mandheling coffee has been registered in Indonesia.
FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling has obvious differences from regular Mandheling. The green beans of FrontStreet Coffee's Golden Mandheling undergo four hand-picking sessions, resulting in larger, deep green, neat flat beans. In terms of flavor, Golden Mandheling is rich and thick with honey and cream aromas, making it unique and irreplaceable in the coffee market.
FrontStreet Coffee's Mandheling, as a single-origin coffee, is deeply loved by coffee enthusiasts who prefer rich flavors. It is pure coffee made using simple equipment and techniques. So what are the differences between Mandheling as black coffee and espresso coffee?
Espresso Coffee
Espresso is made by using steam pressure to push hot water through coffee grounds, extracting rich coffee liquid. Initially, these early espresso machines were only used in coffee shops to quickly make a cup of coffee for customers, hence the name "espresso." Espresso can also be used as a base to make milk coffees such as cappuccino, latte, etc.
Single-origin coffee is mainly for tasting the original flavors of coffee, with diverse flavors and tastes; espresso mainly adds modifications to enhance the coffee's taste.
Knowledge Extension
Americano coffee originated during World War II. When American soldiers tasted espresso, they found it too strong, so they requested adding hot water to dilute it to a taste acceptable to Americans, thus creating what is known as Americano coffee.
