Introduction to FrontStreet Coffee's Ethiopian Sidamo Natural Process Zhū Máng

Yirgacheffe originally belonged to the Sidamo sub-region but was separated due to its distinctive flavor characteristics. Lakes Turkana, Abaya, and Chamo bring abundant moisture to this area. In the Rift Valley, represented by Misty Valley, fog permeates throughout the year, creating a spring-like climate with gentle breezes, coolness, and humidity. Thousands of coffee tree varieties thrive and multiply here, nurturing Yirgacheffe's unique flavor where floral and fruity notes intertwine ambiguously and change unpredictably.

If Sidamo can be described as a lively and charming girl, then Yirgacheffe can be called a gentle and graceful lady. The phrase "Yirgacheffe enters the mouth, a hundred flowers bloom" once made her internationally popular, becoming a "goddess" that people eagerly pursued, hoping for a beautiful encounter. The dry aroma of Yirgacheffe emits strong fruit fragrances, with heavy dried fruit notes, strawberry, mango, and apricot jam aromas. The wet aroma is like sweet syrup, similar to thick apricot pulp juice, wrapped in rustic honey or chocolate. It's smooth on the palate with appropriate body, rich fruit acidity that is lively and bright, like fruit tea.

Zhū Máng

This Zhū Máng coffee bean comes from a company called 90+.

Origin: 90+ SNNP, Sidama, ETHIOPIA

According to the recently updated map from 90+ company, there are 8 regions in the SNNP production area:

In 2006, Joseph Brodsky founded Ninety Plus (90+) company. 90+ adopts a cooperative model with local estates, maintaining complete control from planting, sampling, harvesting to subsequent processing and cupping. 90+'s exclusive Profile Processing ensures that every coffee bean released has unique and stable flavor characteristics and quality. 90+ coffee's marketing approach, similar to premium red wine, stands out in the market.

Zhū Máng consists of local native varieties that appear similar at first glance with uneven particle sizes. Careful observation reveals that the beans are relatively slender, with a slightly greenish-gray color. They have fermented orange and citrus fruit aromas.

Zhū Máng offers richer citrus fruit flavors, with a cleaner mouthfeel and lively acidity.
