Introduction to FrontStreet Coffee's Paradise Estate Anaerobic Natural Coffee
Cauca Province is a coffee origin certified region in Colombia, with an average altitude of 1758m and the highest altitude reaching up to 2100m. The region's topography, precipitation, temperature, and volcanic soil create ideal conditions for coffee growth. 80% of the area is mountainous, with parallel mountain ranges in the eastern and central regions, forming part of the Andes Mountains. The central mountain range includes two main volcanoes, Sotara and Petacas. Similar to other southwestern production areas, Cauca Province shows a distinct monomodal precipitation pattern at its borders, with the dry season mainly occurring from August to September each year. The subsequent rainy season brings a concentrated coffee flowering period, followed by a concentrated coffee harvest season the next year.
Paradise Estate (Finca El Paraiso) is a coffee plantation that Mr. Diego Samuel began operating in 2008. Initially, it was just a small 2.5-hectare family-style estate. The owner invested the surplus from each annual harvest into coffee agricultural research and continuously studied how to produce specialty flavors better.
In 2015, he participated in a local regional competition for the first time and won first place. After becoming famous overnight, he gained recognition from the industry and became more motivated to promote the cultivation of specialty coffee.
Through his company Indestec (Innovacion y Desarrollo Tecnologico para la Caficultura), Diego created new innovative technologies to improve and stabilize coffee quality. He said that he likes to step out of his comfort zone because it continuously helps him improve.
