Jamaica is an island nation in the Caribbean region, located in the northwestern part of the Caribbean Sea. It is the third largest island in the Caribbean after Cuba and Hispaniola. The capital, Kingston, is the world's seventh largest natural deep-water harbor and a renowned tourist and health resort. The city is surrounded by verdant hills and mountains on three sides and faces the vast blue sea on the other, creating a picturesque landscape that has earned it the reputation as the "Queen of Caribbean Cities." It is precisely these unique geographical conditions that nurture world-class Blue Mountain coffee.

Blue Mountain Coffee, as the name suggests, is produced from the Blue Mountains. Therefore, before introducing Blue Mountain Coffee, we must first introduce the Blue Mountain range. The Blue Mountains are located in eastern Jamaica. The mountains get their name because on clear days, when the sun shines directly on the azure Caribbean Sea, the peaks reflect the brilliant blue light of the seawater. The highest peak of the Blue Mountains reaches an altitude of 2,256 meters and is a famous tourist destination.

This region lies within the coffee belt and possesses fertile volcanic soil, fresh air free from pollution, and a humid climate with year-round fog and rainfall (average precipitation of 1,980 mm and temperature around 27°C). Such climatic conditions have created the world-renowned Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, as well as one of the world's most expensive coffees. This coffee possesses all the characteristics of fine coffee: not only is it rich and mellow in flavor, but due to the perfect balance of coffee's sweetness, acidity, and bitterness, it has no bitterness at all, with only moderate and perfect acidity.

In terms of quality classification, from highest to lowest, the grades are: NO.1, NO.2, NO.3, and PB (Peaberry). According to CIB standards, only coffee grown at altitudes above 666 meters can be called Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. The finest among coffee connoisseurs comes from the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica at altitudes between 2,000-2,256 meters. Due to the steep mountain terrain, production is limited, resulting in large beans of superior quality with harmonious flavor, balanced acidity, bitterness, aroma, body, and sweetness. It is recognized worldwide as a superlative coffee, making the National Treasure Blue Mountain No.1 the most expensive among all Blue Mountain coffees.
