Everyone likes to集中"打假" on this day. As a coffee friend, although I can't teach you how to打假, I actually have some small tips for identifying the quality of coffee beans to share with you!
In fact, identifying good beans is just like choosing a partner. Some people say you need to look at appearance, some say it depends on chemistry, and others say it needs to feel right... Actually, all these methods can be applied to selecting beans.
First Step: Smell
First, you need to "smell." Bring the coffee beans close to your nose, cover them, and take a deep breath to see if there's the aroma of coffee beans. If there is, it means the coffee beans are still fresh; if the aroma is very weak or non-existent, and there's a greasy smell, then you shouldn't take these beans.
Second Step: Appearance
After smelling, of course, you need to look at the appearance! You wouldn't like a "pockmarked" face, would you? The same goes for beans. Good coffee beans have complete shapes and are plump; conversely, if they're irregular and incomplete in shape, you should just leave them alone.
Third Step: Texture
The final step is to "undress" and see the figure! So for coffee beans, you need to take one coffee bean and peel off its "clothing"! If the coffee bean is fresh, it will peel off easily with a crisp sound. If the coffee bean is not fresh and requires a lot of effort to peel, then it definitely means the "figure" is not good enough.
Have you learned these methods for identifying beans after reading this?
People who understand coffee know that a good bean determines the taste of coffee. Therefore, selecting beans is very important and requires careful attention.
