【FrontStreet Coffee Barista's Notes】How to Perfect a Simple Rose?
When Monday comes, I'm completely drained. The farthest distance in the world isn't between life and death, but when I watch the subway stop right in front of me, yet I still can't get on after waiting for four trains! For me, a good day starts with a cup of coffee, so today I've decided to create a [rose] latte art to kickstart my energetic day!
A delicious latte must be paired with a beautiful pattern (don't criticize me if it's not pretty, okay?), right? Today, I'm going to share a rose latte art tutorial with everyone!
I'm using FrontStreet Coffee's specialty blend - Brazilian blended with Colombian, in a 6:4 ratio.
Complete Rose Latte Art Tutorial
First, let's watch a complete [rose] latte art video!
Is the video too fast to see clearly? No problem, I'm now going to break it down step by step.
Step One
First, thoroughly blend the espresso and milk (this fusion step is very important!).
Step Two
First, draw a semi-enclosing line, then push the milk pitcher slightly forward to create two small layers (one on each side), then push a small heart shape between these two small layers to form the flower's center.
Step Three
On both sides of the flower, create two leaves each, shaking the milk pitcher (remember to maintain consistent left-right movement amplitude) to create texture patterns, and the leaves are done!
Step Four
Between the leaves, draw another simple line to form the rose's stem, and the rose is complete!
Important Tips for Rose Latte Art
When creating [rose] latte art, there are several important points to pay special attention to:
① The most, most, most important point in latte art is that the milk foam must be smooth. If the foam is too thick or coarse, it's difficult to create your ideal pattern. I've tried making foam too thick and going directly to latte art, and the result was just a blob.
② The fusion of coffee and milk also requires special attention. Good fusion enhances the overall taste of the coffee and makes it more balanced when drinking.
③ When creating the [rose]'s leaves, try to keep the left-right swing amplitude of the texture patterns on the same horizontal level as much as possible, so the leaves look more cohesive.
Above is today's simple [rose] latte art tutorial. Friends who like it can save it for future reference!
