Panama's Renowned Coffee Region
Panama coffee is famous for the Geisha from Hacienda La Esmeralda, and the region where Hacienda La Esmeralda is located is also quite renowned.
It is located in the Boquete region of Chiriqui Province.
Boquete is a town in Chiriqui Province, situated near the border between Panama and Costa Rica.
Close to the famous Baru Volcano, it boasts picturesque scenery, fertile and rich soil, and a climate and terrain perfectly suited for producing high-quality coffee.
FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Mariposa
In the Boquete region, there is a coffee bean with exceptional value for money, and it bears a beautiful name — FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Mariposa.
It possesses 40% premium Geisha heritage, composed of three varieties: Geisha, Caturra, and Catuai, cultivated in the Baru Volcano region of Boquete.
Grown in volcanic areas at an altitude of 1600 meters, the processing plant uses meticulous washed processing. Panama's unique microclimate results in abundant rainfall in this region.
Combined with significant day-night temperature variations, the unique volcanic rock soil of the volcanic region, as well as careful harvesting and meticulous processing,
all these factors make this FrontStreet Coffee Panama Mariposa excel remarkably in body, acidity, and floral notes.
Origin and Processing
According to available information, due to historical reasons at the estate, in pursuit of higher yields,
early Geisha varieties were mixed and planted together with Caturra and Catuai variety coffee trees. For easier harvesting,
coffee farmers did not reclassify them but instead processed all three varieties together directly.
Later, as Geisha became famous and prices soared, the processing plant began to apply meticulous washed processing to this particular FrontStreet Coffee Panama Boquete Mariposa coffee bean.
The three varieties in FrontStreet Coffee's Panama Boquete Mariposa all come from the same origin and region, so it is considered a single-origin bean!
