Fushan coffee beans are solid, large, uniform, and full-bodied. True Fushan 100% pure coffee is roasted without sugar and spices. It possesses excellent qualities of richness, aroma, smoothness, and mouthfeel, carrying the unique local coffee flavor of Hainan's Fushan region while also exhibiting the quality characteristics of Indonesia's Sumatran Golden Mandheling coffee.

In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, migrating to Southeast Asia was a livelihood means for many Hainan people, and close commercial and personnel exchanges between Hainan and Southeast Asia began from this time. In the 1930s, overseas Chinese introduced coffee cultivation methods and seedlings, bringing coffee drinking customs to their hometown elders. By cleverly integrating coffee culture with local culture, ordinary Hainan people not only became acquainted with coffee but also developed a preference for and cultivated their own coffee, incorporating it into their daily habits and creating a unique cultural phenomenon in Hainan. Since then, coffee has moved from people's homes into tea shops, continuing to this day. Today, in Hainan's tea shops—whether in bustling urban centers or quiet rural areas—coffee can be found exuding various aromas, warming people's hearts with their shared desire for happiness.

The earliest coffee cultivation on Hainan Island began during the early Republican period. Returned overseas Chinese from the island successively brought back coffee seeds from countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia, planting them around their homes.

After Hainan's liberation in the early 1950s, the coffee cultivation area in Chengmai County was only about 100 mu.

In the early 1970s, Mr. Xu Xiuyi, the founder of the "Fushan" brand, established the Fushan Coffee Plantation and Processing Plant in Fushan Town, Chengmai County in northern Hainan Island, reclaiming wasteland to vigorously develop coffee cultivation.

In the late 1970s, Red Light Farm and farmers in Fushan Town began large-scale cultivation of Fushan coffee.

During the early days of establishing the Fushan coffee industry, coffee powder was processed entirely by hand, resulting in low yields. However, the coffee powder produced at that time had already quietly gained fame, receiving high praise from both the general public and national leaders. Many celebrities, including Zhu De and Li Zongren, visited Fushan drawn by its reputation, personally tasted Fushan coffee, and gave it extremely high evaluations and praise. When coffee experts from home and abroad visited the Fushan Coffee Factory for inspections, they all tasted Fushan coffee and repeatedly praised its unique flavor, which they said could compete with world-class high-end and mid-range coffees.
