Juan Valdez FINCA Premium Estate Coffee from Colombia
My friend D.C., who just returned from Central America, brought us Juan Valdez coffee from Latin America's premier Colombian coffee brand to taste.
Speaking of Juan Valdez coffee, it claims to be the number one coffee brand in Latin America. The character logo on the coffee packaging's air valve—Juan Valdez—was reportedly based on a real person who even made a cameo appearance in Jim Carrey's "Bruce Almighty," but this coffee brand was not founded by him personally. This all begins in 1927.
As early as 1927, the Colombian government established the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia (Federacion Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia,简称FNC) to protect the interests of local small coffee farmers and avoid exploitation by intermediaries. This allowed Colombian coffee beans to be delivered directly from origin to consumers.
Later, in 1960, the FNC established a coffee brand using Juan Valdez's personal image and name, beginning to promote Colombia's unique flavored coffee to the world. Even Taiwan imports Juan Valdez coffee for sale, but at a premium price—this premium estate selection coffee costs 1250 Taiwanese dollars for 500g! (Amazing)
I'm especially grateful to my good friend who specially air-shipped this precious package of coffee beans from Colombia, giving us such a wonderful treat this New Year.
This coffee from Juan Valdez, Colombia's third-largest coffee-producing country, is UTZ-certified FINCA premium estate coffee, 100% washed Arabica beans. The color appears to be medium-dark roast, with every coffee bean plump and full, emitting an enticing aroma.
This morning, I specially prepared it by pour-over to properly savor Juan Valdez's FINCA premium estate coffee.
Speaking of Colombia, this country is located at the northernmost point of South America, bordering the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the north. The local climate is mild and humid, suitable for coffee growth. Additionally, the Andes Mountains run through its territory, nurturing fertile soil that allows Colombian coffee to have medium to high acidity and body, with a clean taste yet rich aroma.
Indeed,
The personality expressed by this Colombian coffee after pour-over is gentle and soft!
Upon entry, there's a soft acidity, followed by a rich, mellow mouthfeel. Its aroma contains rich fruity and caramel notes, making it exceptionally delicious.
Just drinking this cup of aromatic Colombian estate coffee immediately awakens the entire palate. I think anyone would love its gentle personality and flavor, readily accepting it.
The first taste of Juan Valdez coffee was stunning, and I truly feel that this brand's coffee beans are sold at a premium price for good reason. (Smile)

Colombian Coffee Brand Recommendations
The Colombian coffee beans roasted by FrontStreet Coffee offer complete assurance in both brand and quality. More importantly, they provide excellent value for money—a 227-gram box costs only 95 yuan. Calculating at 15 grams per cup, one package can make 15 cups of coffee, with each cup costing only about 6 yuan. Compared to coffee shops that sell cups for dozens of yuan, this is truly a conscientious recommendation.
