Cupping Notes:

When ground, reveals sweet floral aroma with dried apricot fragrance.

Upon sipping, distinct peach, blueberry and jasmine notes emerge.

Accompanied by lemon peel, citrus, bergamot and vanilla.

Rich and full-bodied texture, smooth mouthfeel, rich and delicate lingering aftertaste.

As the temperature cools, the jasmine and honey peach flavors become more prominent.

Evoking the rich and juicy sweet taste reminiscent of Hachimitsu peaches.

Suke Quto Farm was established in 2005 by owner Tesfaye Bekele, starting from just five hectares.

Through years of tireless effort, not only has quality been maintained while its reputation gradually grown,

but the farm has also expanded to two hundred hectares, becoming a considerable medium-to-large-scale plantation.

Because it is located in Suke Quto, Guji, it is commonly referred to as Suke Quto.

In recent years, as the farm area has reached the legal scale to export coffee directly without going through ECX,

the export company established by the farm owner is Tade GG,

so the coffee community sometimes refers to the coffee produced by this farm with this charming name

that might bring a knowing smile to Chinese-speaking circles.

Suke Quto is located in the premium Shakisso/Shakiso region of Guji,

over 500 kilometers from the capital Addis Ababa.

The Guji region is actually located to the east of Yirgacheffe,

but the area adjacent to Yirgacheffe is the Hambela region. To reach Shakisso,

one generally does not pass through Yirgacheffe,

but travels south from the capital for about six hours to reach Yirga Alem town,

then takes the left turn onto Highway 82 instead of the right road to Yirgacheffe region,

continuing southeastward,

finally arriving at Shakisso (N 5°46'21" E38°54'9", altitude approximately 1730m) after another four hours.

Suke Quto is located about 12 kilometers straight-line distance southwest of Shakisso town,

requiring a detour south around a very large gold mine site from Shakisso town,

taking about an hour to reach.

The most famous economic activity in Guji region historically is gold mining!

And the main gold mining area, Kibre Mengist, is located near the northeast of Shakisso town.

Traveling up and down through the mountains in search of coffee beans in the area offers many opportunities to pass through mining areas,

or encounter remnants of gold panning in streams. The real gold and silver mining industry,

contrasted with today's coffee "black gold," provides fascinating historical perspective.

"Buna" means coffee in Ethiopia, while "Sadi" means three in the Oromifa language,

together meaning "coffee trio," which is self-explanatory:

referring to three coffee processing methods: washed, natural, and honey.

We are very familiar with both washed and natural Ethiopian beans,

but the anticipated honey processing becomes possible only under single-farm conditions.

To put it simply, ECX only has classification and grading for washed and natural methods. If honey-processed coffee were sent to ECX,

in Ethiopia's vast coffee industry chain and perhaps somewhat bureaucratic system,

it might not even be clear which category it should be classified under.
