Ethiopia Agaro Duromina/Beautiful Life Cooperative (Washed)

Duromina is located in the Goma Woreda region of Jimma Province in western Ethiopia, situated at an altitude between 1900-2100 meters. The EAFCA conference held this year in Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, was a major event where Duromina shone brightly. Even when compared with the finest specialty coffees carefully selected from many East African coffee-producing countries, Duromina achieved remarkable cupping scores in this competition.

The Duromina Cooperative is precisely one of TechnoServe's most successful local examples. Established in 2010, it quickly gained recognition worldwide for its unique and exceptional quality. In its first year, it repaid its loans and significantly improved the village's infrastructure, while farmers' incomes doubled. This year, plans are already underway for a third washing station, which will process and acquire more of Agaro's excellent coffee cherries!
