Guatemala's Premium Coffee Regions

Guatemala has eight main coffee producing regions: Antigua, Coban, Atitlan, Huehuetenango, Fraijanes, Oriente, and San Marcos. Among these, Huehuetenango and Antigua are the most well-known to coffee enthusiasts. The Huehuetenango coffee region is located in the northwestern highlands of Guatemala, with cultivation altitudes reaching 1800-2100 meters, making it the country's highest altitude coffee growing region, renowned for producing excellent quality beans.

The Magnificent Huehuetenango Highlands

The Chinese translation of "Huehuetenango Highlands" truly captures its elegant character. Located in northwestern Guatemala, the highlands feature fertile soil and abundant rainfall. The unique cloud belt created by the high plateau's distinctive basin geography provides the perfect coffee growing environment bestowed by nature. Therefore, the Huehuetenango Highlands are world-famous for producing exceptional quality coffee. Most of the winning coffee beans in Guatemala's annual coffee competitions come from the Huehuetenango Highlands, earning excellent international recognition.
