The annual coffee bean harvest season in Rwanda runs from March to July, and now is the perfect time~

While African coffee beans are often perceived as intense with a wild and untamed character, Rwandan coffee proves to be remarkably soft, fragrant, and gentle with balanced particles - much milder than beans from other regions. This is the first impression of Rwandan coffee.

The country thrives primarily on producing high-quality coffee beans. The flavor of Rwandan coffee is described as having "grass-like aromas" with tropical climate characteristics. Thanks to Rwanda's exceptionally fertile soil and suitable climate that greatly facilitate plant growth, the soft yet rich flavor of Rwandan coffee is distinctive. Especially noteworthy is the unique caramel richness and sweet aftertaste that emerges toward the end - worthy of your personal tasting experience~

Region: Rwanda

Processing Method: Washed

Variety: Arabica

Flavor Profile: Rich Sweetness > Aromatic > Smooth

Roasting Profiles

End of First Crack: Aroma is pronounced, fruitiness is less apparent than Central and South American beans, with special acidity and strong aftertaste. The aroma and acidity burst forth in the later stages, with extremely rich body and an impressive aftertaste as its most outstanding feature.

Two Minutes After First Crack: Carries bitterness, but aftertaste and body are equally excellent. Floral notes are distinct with clean, smooth mouthfeel without oiliness. After the coffee cools, light floral and herbal notes emerge, creating the most comfortable throat sensation.

Second Crack: Slightly bitter, but aftertaste and body are superb, though the aroma is somewhat diminished.

Roast Levels

Light Roast: Features unique acidity with strong aftertaste, extremely rich body and perfect flavor profile.

Medium Roast: Carries chocolate bitterness with rich aftertaste and body. Floral notes are distinct with clean, smooth mouthfeel without oiliness. After cooling, light floral and herbal notes emerge, creating the most comfortable throat sensation. The overall impression of the coffee is soft, fragrant, with full-bodied particles.

Optimal Roast Level: Medium roast

Brewing Methods

Pour-over, Drip Coffee Maker, Siphon, French Press, Various Filter Brewing Devices, Cold Drip

Note: If the brewed coffee liquid tastes too strong, you can adjust with hot water. Avoid extracting excessive coffee liquid at once, as flavorless and undesirable compounds will be filtered out in the later stages. If you prefer a stronger taste, you can increase the amount of coffee grounds.
