El Salvador is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America, with rich natural ecosystems and diverse species. Coffee cultivation began as early as 1740, with coffee beans becoming the main crop in most regions. The infrastructure is well-developed throughout the country, and farmers possess immense passion and professional expertise. The production of high-quality coffee has led to a flourishing export market. As Salvadorans say, you'll smile after just one sip of Salvadoran coffee.
Coffee is harvested only once a year, between November and February. The new crop beans are typically shipped abroad from June to August. In El Salvador, 60% of the coffee is Bourbon variety, including Orange Bourbon, Pink Bourbon, and Red Bourbon. Notably, El Salvador is the birthplace of Pacas and Pacamara coffee tree varieties.
Concordia Farm is a small-production estate that has long-term cooperation with international coffee merchants.
Only from the BN-14 code at the bottom of the bean bag and information provided by foreign coffee merchants can we learn that this bag contains natural process coffee beans from Concordia Farm.
Concordia Farm (Concordia means "harmony" in Spanish) and the Sincuyo Shangri-La cooperative farm belong to the ACOES cooperative in the Tacuba region. In 2008, they received Fair Trade (F.T) certification, establishing a closer cooperation and procurement model. Fair Trade funding enables the protection of natural resources without worry, as well as the construction of better infrastructure including offices, warehouses, farmers' kitchens, and ecological processing facilities, ultimately improving the livelihood environment of all members. Currently, there are 19 members, certified by North America's UCRAPROBEX and Germany's BCS certification bodies, and now belong to Good Farms under H.I.U.
