The Volcanic Origins
Baru Volcano is not only the highest mountain range in Panama, but the sedimentary material created by early volcanic activities and eruptions has brought vast and extremely fertile soil. This soil is rich in nutrients, and the volcanic ash particularly contains abundant phosphorus and sulfur. When mixed with clay and combined with unique climate patterns, this region has formed an environment suitable for growing high-quality coffee. The dense forests and numerous species create overall biodiversity.
Traditional Farming Methods
There are about 50 coffee farmers in this area who form a small cooperative, all using traditional Boquete methods to produce coffee—letting coffee grow in a near-natural environment. Although the yield is not high, it can maintain a rich ecological environment, and soil quality can be preserved or even improved. Natural farming methods are not only beneficial to the environment; because coffee cherries grow slowly, they are more likely to develop high-quality coffee beans with excellent flavor. Farmers manually harvest complete coffee cherries and send them to the nearby Cafe de Eleta S.A. for post-processing. The processing plant is about 4 kilometers from the farm and includes a modern laboratory for cupping quality control and manual selection.
Brewing Instructions
Hand-pour Cupid. 15g of coffee grounds, medium grind (using Fuji Fuji ghost tooth blade grinder #4), V60 filter cup, 88-89°C water temperature. First pour 30g of water and let it bloom for 27 seconds. Pour until reaching 105g, then stop pouring. Wait until the water level in the coffee bed drops to halfway, then continue pouring slowly until reaching 225g total. Discard the tail section. Water-to-coffee ratio is 1:15, extraction time is 2:00.
Tasting Profile
Clean and transparent body, with white grape and caramel aromas followed by honey notes. The high mountain tea aroma is captivating! High sweetness, low acidity, and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Drinking it feels like falling in love, experiencing sweet and sour flavors every day.

Panama Coffee Heritage
Panama coffee originated in 1780 when European immigrants introduced the first Typica varieties. In particular, Geisha variety coffee from Panama has led the global trend of focusing on specialty coffee, successfully attracting global market interest in Panama coffee.
The Boquete region is Panama's oldest and most famous coffee producing area, located on the eastern side of Baru Volcano, at an average altitude of 1000-2000 meters. The "Baru Volcano National Park" is a ecological conservation area with extremely rich biodiversity and multiple microclimates. Combined with year-round mist cover and abundant rainfall, this creates excellent local cultivation conditions, giving Boquete coffee its unique aroma. It is Panama's region with both the highest coffee production and excellent quality.
During each harvest season, coffee farmers use the refined washed method and sun-drying, allowing the green coffee beans to be full and pure in flavor.
