V60 Dripper Structural Features

The V60 dripper, designed by the Japanese company Hario, can be considered one of the essential tools for every pour-over beginner. The name V60 comes from its conical angle of 60°, which is quite intuitive. This 60° angle was determined through Hario's extensive testing to ensure that coffee grounds are concentrated in the center, allowing water flow to converge toward the dripper's center during pouring, ensuring sufficient contact time between water and coffee grounds, thus achieving proper coffee extraction.

Another structural feature of the V60 dripper is the ribs on the inner surface of its body. The spiral shape extends from the bottom to the top, serving to guide water flow and create adequate space between the filter paper and dripper. This ensures good water flow and relatively fast speed, making it one of the fastest-flowing drippers among many options.
