The world's most productive Brazilian coffee seeds are larger, more adaptable, and have higher yield rates. Colombian coffee is divided into over 200 grades, with strong regional characteristics. Colombian beans are graded with SUPERMO as the highest grade, followed by EXCELSO. However, only SUPERMO grade coffee beans above size 18 (diameter 18/64 inches) can be classified as specialty coffee.
