Luckin's Christmas Cup Innovation

Luckin, which has always maintained a serious business blue base with a deer head logo, had previously limited its design efforts to various cup sleeves and paper bags.

But! Just half a month ago, while people in southern regions were still experiencing 30-degree temperatures at the end of October, Niohuru·Luckin launched its Christmas series paper cups early! That's right! This time, Luckin finally abandoned its business blue! Instead, it went with vibrant red!

Speaking of coffee Christmas cups, Starbucks has dominated the C-position in everyone's mind for years! However, Starbucks typically launches its Christmas series in early November. To outcompete Starbucks, Luckin jumped ahead and launched its Christmas series three-piece set on October 31st!

This time, Luckin designed two series of Christmas cups and cup sleeves. Compared to Starbucks' annual release of four paper cup designs, Luckin may not have the advantage in quantity. However, when launched, netizens went crazy buying them! The reason: Luckin perfectly combined people's love for collecting, attention to detail, and appreciation for little surprises!

Many netizens mentioned that when they first received cups with sleeves, they looked quite ordinary, but when they removed the sleeve, they were immediately conquered by Luckin's clever design!

When the sleeve is on, the Christmas deer/elderly person on the cup shows a happy face from the front, but when the sleeve is removed, a sad face suddenly appears.

But that's not a problem! Because when everyone holds the cup with the logo facing outward, their fingers naturally position themselves to cover the unhappy expression.

This reminds us of a popular meme:

Many netizens expressed: Isn't this just like me! Others see me as happy, but I'm actually hiding my unhappiness!

Luckin's design hopes that when drinking each cup of coffee, people can "press away" their unhappiness and feel happier because of the coffee. This truly captures the emotions of today's office workers!

Healing Design Elements

Although the design appears simple, these thoughtful design elements are quite interesting. After all, sudden little surprises are truly healing!

In fact, starting from last year, Luckin also incorporated healing mini-games into their cup designs during the Christmas season. Although the packaging's main color scheme was still business blue, the colorful ball design on top featured the "lucky" word positioned exactly where fingers would naturally grip the cup when held with the logo facing outward, symbolizing "holding luck"!

From last year's "Hold Luck" to this year's "Press Away Unhappiness," we have to say Luckin really knows what they're doing! Please release more designs that resonate with office workers!
