When thinking of loneliness, does this image come to mind: the sun setting, the moon slowly rising, sunset clouds reddening the sky, the city's tall buildings gradually turning off their lights, street lamps flickering, and you, wearing headphones with empty eyes, weaving through dense crowds of people.

This is what most single working people experience every day after work—loneliness in the crowd. But have you ever thought about loneliness away from people?

According to Fuzhou News Network, a café located on the Dagu Glacier in Heishui County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan, has been hailed by netizens as "the loneliest café in the world."

At the summit of the 4860-meter-high Dagu Glacier, surrounded by ice and snow, stands a gray building—the only structure in this area.

Away from the bustling city, getting close to the most authentic nature. Instead of the asphalt roads and concrete brick sidewalks commonly seen everywhere, what you see more often are the blue sky and vast white snowfields. It's truly a place to purify the soul.

The manager of this glacier café once mentioned that the infrastructure here was previously incomplete, with only a simple plank walkway. Later, the café was expanded based on the existing cableway station. The original intention of building this café was to provide tourists with a place to rest.

The Dagu Glacier wasn't discovered until 1992, when Japanese scientists observed it via satellite. In August of the same year, this scientist traveled across the ocean to Heishui County for a week-long expedition, discovering that Dagu Glacier is the world's lowest altitude, largest area, and youngest ice city. Due to the unique geographical location of Dagu Glacier and its plateau climate conditions, the café is equipped with oxygen generation equipment.

In this rarely visited place, free from the noise of the city, order a cup of coffee, sit by the window, quietly watch the scenery outside, and enjoy this solitude. When others think drinking coffee is already bourgeois, we go to drink it on a glacier, making it even more refined.

The feeling of being surrounded by 360° snow scenery looks absolutely beautiful. Sitting at the highest point, overlooking the distance, this feeling is even stronger than standing on the top floor of the tallest building in a big city overlooking the entire city. In such a "lonely" place, one doesn't feel lonely—at least there's still a connection with nature.

I remember years ago, there was a loneliness scale, and drinking coffee alone was only at the third level. As someone who has entered the workforce, struggling alone, I've experienced moving alone, seeing a doctor alone, and even having surgery alone—all ranked higher on the scale. So, drinking coffee alone—lonely? Not really.

When I was young, I was surrounded by teachers and classmates at school, and by family at home; as I grew up, those became past experiences. I used to be dismissive of loneliness, but now I'm numb to it, even feeling it has become the norm. After all, we come into this world alone and leave it alone.

Even when friends gather in groups of three or five, there's still that strong feeling of loneliness inside. So why not directly abandon these illusory external things and face this loneliness alone? Perhaps when you get used to it, it's no longer torture, but enjoyment.
