According to a report by "Beijing News Our Video," recently two individuals born in the 1990s have creatively utilized car trunks for entrepreneurship—moving a coffee shop into the trunk of a car.
The video introduces these two cousins from Urumqi, Xinjiang, both born in the 1990s. Liu Jiang gave up his job to start a "trunk entrepreneurship" venture with his cousin Jiang Shan in Chengdu because he was working too much overtime and wanted to change his lifestyle and find something interesting to do. Therefore, he abandoned his job and decided on a venture with not-too-high costs—#trunk entrepreneurship—to jointly open a trunk coffee shop. They hope to let people experience different coffee cultures through this mobile form.
As we all know, most coffee shops sell the third space, but their model of mobile coffee sales represents more freedom. For them, this approach also offers greater time flexibility. A small mobile coffee cart has low costs and is an excellent choice for entrepreneurs.
Regarding their goals, they stated: "We hope to go to more remote places where coffee is not accessible, so that different people can try coffee."
As the coffee market expands, coffee shop operation scenarios have become more diversified, and mobile payment scenarios for coffee are becoming increasingly popular.
Previously, Guangzhou Diansheng Marketing Co., Ltd. helped Chevrolet create a "Coffee Shop in a Car" installation for busy urban dwellers. Due to its eye-catching coffee shop design, this car has become a new landmark for many people to visit and check in.
Popular Mobile Coffee Brands
Similarly, Nayuki's Tea, which became popular due to its distinctive design, also operates a mobile coffee cart.
Nayuki's Tea, which has been "diligently" cultivating the coffee market, launched a coffee cart on December 12th of last year. Although it was a limited-time creative pop-up coffee cart, its design was very eye-catching to the public.
In addition, Luckin Coffee also launched the world's first food truck store, which quickly became popular locally.
Luckin Coffee's food truck store is somewhat different from the coffee carts mentioned above. Luckin Coffee's food truck store design is based on the landmark architecture on Hefei's pedestrian street. The front of the food truck store is equipped with a sunshade and tables and chairs, allowing customers to rest here. Its integration with the local food street is also a major highlight. Luckin Coffee stated that the reason for designing their store in the form of a food truck was to increase Luckin Coffee's exposure. Additionally, it allows people from Hefei and tourists from other places to better understand Luckin Coffee and its brand culture.
The Future of Mobile Coffee
Finally, it's worth considering that while many people are opening coffee shops nowadays, operating a coffee shop well is no longer an easy task. Mobile coffee carts have lower costs for selling coffee, and they also allow one to travel while running a coffee business. It sounds quite liberating, so do you think mobile coffee carts will become a popular new trend in the future?
