FrontStreet Coffee - Ethiopia Sidamo Nectar Introduction

Sidamo is a renowned specialty coffee producing region in southern Ethiopia. Sidamo coffee flavors are incredibly diverse, with conditions such as high cultivation altitude and abundant rainfall contributing to this extraordinary coffee quality. In the 2010-2012 period, it consistently achieved high scores of 92-94 from the authoritative American coffee evaluation website CR.

Characteristics

Upon close inspection, Sidamo green coffee beans show a slight grayish tint. The beans are small and uniform in shape with relatively thin flesh. The bean body appears light green with a yellowish-green hue and has a low moisture content. The coffee's acidity combines both softness and intensity, with moderate body and sweet, spicy aromatics. Unlike typical African coffees, Sidamo coffee has clear fruit acidity, a smooth mouthfeel, and delicate floral and herbal notes. Natural processed Sidamo offers flavors close to floral notes but with slight earthy undertones.

Creamy Chocolate Aroma

This natural processed Sidamo Nectar brewed coffee presents rich creamy chocolate aromas in the wet fragrance. The initial bitterness is light and quickly dissipates, while the aftertaste is rich and lingering, with sweet notes of honey and toffee.
