FrontStreet Coffee - Kilimanjaro Coffee Introduction

Mount Kilimanjaro is located in northeastern Tanzania, about 160 kilometers south of the East African Rift Valley and about 225 kilometers south of Nairobi, between the equator and 3° south latitude. It serves as the watershed between Tanzania and Kenya, and is the highest mountain range in Africa, as well as both a volcanic and snow-capped mountain. The main body of the mountain extends nearly 80 kilometers east-west and is primarily composed of three extinct volcanoes: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, covering an area of 756 square kilometers. Its central volcanic cone, Uhuru Peak, reaches an elevation of 5,895 meters, making it the highest point in Africa. Kilimanjaro coffee is produced here.

Kilimanjaro AA is the highest grade of beans, characterized by their full-bodied appearance, pure flavor, and rich, refreshing taste. All aspects of its quality are superior. As Tanzania borders Kenya, Kilimanjaro coffee bears a similar appearance to Kenyan coffee. However, it doesn't have the bright, expansive acidity of Kenyan AA but instead offers a softer, more refreshing sensation. The fertile volcanic ash imparts a rich texture and gentle acidity to the coffee here. It emits a delicate fragrance and contains aromas of wine and fruit, leaving an endless aftertaste.

This coffee boasts excellent quality, rich aroma, and prominent acidity. These coffee beans possess exceptional qualities. After drinking Kilimanjaro coffee, one can always perceive a soft, mellow, earthy flavor at the palate. Coffee connoisseurs often describe it with words like "wild" or "untamed." It can be said that pure Kilimanjaro coffee is the "most African-characteristic coffee."

As a single-origin bean, Kilimanjaro coffee is often lightly to medium roasted, producing a prominent yet gentle acidity with a hint of sweetness and pleasant berry flavors. It is a black coffee suitable for savoring coffee flavors.
