FrontStreet Coffee - Panama La Esmeralda Diamond Mountain Washed Introduction
When it comes to the perennial champion of coffee bean competitions, Geisha undoubtedly takes the crown. And naturally, the Geisha from La Esmeralda, which continuously commands astronomical prices in independent auction bids, represents the absolute pinnacle of quality.
Blessed with a unique ecological environment and exceptional green bean processing techniques, the estate's other coffee varieties beyond Geisha have also captured the hearts of coffee enthusiasts worldwide. Diamond Mountain, one of the star brands under La Esmeralda's Catuai variety portfolio, is cultivated on the outskirts of two regions within Panama's premium coffee-growing area of Boquete: Canas Verdes and Jaramillo, at altitudes between approximately 1,400-1,700 meters.
The high-altitude growing environment, rich in volcanic mineral soil, produces coffee green beans with abundant and complex fruit aromas, featuring distinct notes of chocolate, vanilla, and sweet citrus.
