FrontStreet Coffee - Uganda Red Cherry Natural
The Rwenzori Mountains are located in western Uganda, situated along the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This mountain range stretches for 120 kilometers along the western border of Uganda with the Democratic Republic of Congo. The snow-capped peaks reach heights of 5,109 meters, while glaciers at the summit form rivers that provide abundant moisture to the valleys below, creating extremely favorable conditions for coffee cultivation.
The Rwenzori Mountains are also known as the "Mountains of the Moon." Each farmer in this region manages approximately two acres of land and carefully tends to the coffee crops for which they are responsible. Coffee cherries are only harvested when they reach optimal maturity (when they have a deep, jam-like red color). This process requires great skill, and 95 coffee growers have mastered it!
