Colombian coffee has a rich and full-bodied aroma, with bright, high-quality acidity and excellent balance. It sometimes has nutty notes and an endless aftertaste. Whether in appearance or quality, Colombian coffee is particularly outstanding.
Colombian coffee is one of the few pure-origin coffees that can be sold worldwide under its country name. In terms of quality, it has received praise that other coffees cannot match.
Colombia grows Arabica coffee beans throughout its entire territory and is also one of the world's leading coffee-exporting countries. Local coffee is often directly labeled with the country name "Colombia," creating a close association.
Colombian coffee is divided into more than 200 grades, which means the coffee has strong regional characteristics. The country's coffee production areas are located in the Andes Mountains, where the climate is mild and the air is humid. Colombia has three Cordillera mountain ranges running north-south, extending into the Andes. Coffee is planted along the highlands of these mountains. The mountain slopes provide diverse climates, making it harvest season year-round, with different types of coffee ripening at different times.
