Santos Growing Region
Brazil accounts for 30% of global coffee production, with coffee mainly grown in the southeastern region. Most coffee is exported through Santos Port, hence the name Brazil Santos coffee beans.
When tasting Brazilian single-origin coffee, the aroma is very harmonious, with a neutral and clean taste, carrying notes of red jujube dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, and earthy aromas. The initial flavor is well-balanced, followed by a subtle acidity that spreads, with a slight bitterness lingering in the aftertaste.
Santos NO.2 means no more than 4 defective beans per 300g of green beans, representing the highest grade of Brazil Santos coffee. These beans are sorted and classified using screens with uniformly sized holes, resulting in large 18-screen beans.
Brazilian coffee beans are often used in espresso blends because their characteristics make them suitable for pairing with any type of bean. As Brazil provides stable quality beans, its coffee production ranks first in the world.
When added to highly acidic beans, Brazilian coffee can use its bitterness to moderate the overly distinctive flavors of other coffees, such as mocha, Guatemala, Kilimanjaro, and other more acidic varieties. Using Brazil to blend moderates the acidity of other coffees with its bitterness, making the flavor smoother.
Key Point: Because Brazilian coffee is relatively mild and common, it's suitable for medium roasting and can be brewed using the most popular methods. It's the best ingredient for making Italian espresso and various specialty coffees.
