FrontStreet Coffee - Yirgacheffe Coffee and Arabica Coffee Benefits Introduction
The so-called 'Yirgacheffe flavor' refers to rich jasmine fragrance, lemon, and peach and almond sweet aromas, as well as tea. When the coffee enters your mouth, a hundred flowers bloom! It's like the comforting sensation of flowers touching your taste buds and olfactory cells. Besides the floral notes, the delicate body (texture) feels like silk massaging in your mouth, a truly marvelous sensation.
Most Yirgacheffe coffee cultivation follows the garden coffee model, where coffee farmers plant coffee trees near their residential areas, harvest them themselves during the harvest season, and then send them to nearby processing plants built near water sources for unified processing (or collected by intermediaries). Except for a few well-equipped estates that independently plant, harvest, and process green coffee beans, many coffee beans from different regions and varieties are centrally processed by processing plants and then sent to auction houses for official evaluation and grading.
Many people's specialty coffee journey begins with this bean, partly because it's not expensive, and partly because of its unique flavor. The light floral notes and lemon acidity upon entry are the signature flavors of this region, with slight variations depending on processing methods or cooperatives. Among FrontStreet Coffee's daily beans, there is a Yirgacheffe, often offered at very low promotional prices, making it an everyday drinkable staple.
Compared to ordinary washed G2 Yirgacheffe, its flavor is purer and more flawless, possessing a sweetness like a charming young girl's smile, with bright and delicate lemon acidity and elegant taste. The fresh lemon, jasmine, ginger flower and other floral notes, accompanied by hints of honey, keep you refreshed throughout the day.
Arabica coffee accounts for 70%-80% of all coffee. Its excellent flavor and aroma make it the only coffee species that can be consumed directly among all native coffee varieties.
What are the benefits of Arabica coffee beans?
Its most significant benefit is helping people stay alert, thereby improving work efficiency. However, besides this, Arabica coffee beans have other benefits as follows:
1. It can improve mood. Studies show that when a person consumes 300 milligrams of caffeine per day, it has positive effects on their alertness and mood.
2. It can relieve constipation and aid in weight loss. Coffee can promote metabolic function and activate digestive organs, which is very effective for constipation. Using coffee powder for bathing is a heat therapy that has weight loss effects. Drinking a cup of coffee after meals also helps with digestion.
3. It has an anti-alcohol function. Drinking coffee after alcohol will rapidly oxidize the acetaldehyde converted from alcohol, breaking it down into water and carbon dioxide for excretion from the body.
4. It can eliminate fatigue. To eliminate fatigue, one must supplement nutrition, rest and sleep, and promote metabolic function, and coffee has these functions.
5. It can prevent gallstones. For caffeinated coffee, it can stimulate gallbladder contraction and reduce cholesterol in bile that easily forms gallstones. Recent research from Harvard University in the United States found that men who drink two to three cups of coffee per day have a 40% lower chance of developing gallstones.
6. It can prevent radiation damage. Radiation damage, especially radiation from electrical appliances, has become a prominent type of pollution today. Researchers at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in India reached this conclusion in mouse experiments and indicated it could be applied to humans.
7. It has functions such as promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Coffee has antioxidant and heart-protective effects, strengthens bones and muscles, benefits the waist and knees, stimulates appetite, promotes digestion, reduces fat accumulation, opens the orifices to remove dampness, promotes blood circulation to remove stasis, calms wind to stop spasms, and other effects.
Knowledge Extension:
"Acidity" is similar to astringency, similar to red wine, with the saying that "sweetness is easy to find, but good acidity is rare." However, as coffee temperature decreases, "acidity" will correspondingly increase.
