FrontStreet Coffee - Washed Yirgacheffe G1, Kochere Town Qore Processing Plant White Honey G1 Introduction

In 1995, Ethiopia redivided its regions. The Yirgacheffe we are familiar with was planned within the Gedeo Zone in the new SNNPR.

Currently, Yirgacheffe is located in the central part of Gedeo. Kochere is about 25 miles north of the famous Yirgacheffe town. The production model mainly involves local small farmers sending their batches to cooperatives for unified processing. For a long time, it has been hailed as one of the best origins for coffee in southern Ethiopia.

Kochere Region Introduction:

The Kochere region has abundant water resources and complete washing equipment, along with very high altitude, iron-rich composition, and acidic soil. These conditions have consistently enabled high-level performance in washed coffee processing in the Kochere region, earning praise for the distinctive floral and fruity flavors characteristic of Yirgacheffe. Although the washed quality is high, there are also similar attempts. Recently, FrontStreet Coffee found a white honey processed coffee bean that surprised us greatly. While there are red honey processed red cherries, the white honey processed Kochere also made us want to try it.
