FrontStreet Coffee carefully selects beans with the most representative local flavors from major coffee-producing regions and packages them in 100g sample sizes. Examples include the lemon acidity of the most renowned Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, the herbal notes of Indonesian Mandheling, and the chocolate and nut aromas of Costa Rican Tarrazú, among others. Currently, FrontStreet Coffee has introduced eight different coffees from various countries and regions for everyone to choose from.

Next, FrontStreet Coffee will introduce in detail the unique characteristics of these eight classic "FrontStreet Coffee Daily Beans."

FrontStreet Coffee: Washed Yirgacheffe Daily Beans

Country: Ethiopia
Region: Yirgacheffe
Altitude: 1800-2000m
Variety: Local Heirloom Varieties
Processing: Washed
Bean Appearance: Small-sized beans, relatively round, very small bean body

Yirgacheffe coffee is the most representative coffee from Ethiopia and receives high praise from coffee connoisseurs worldwide. Therefore, with such an excellent coffee variety, FrontStreet Coffee naturally wants to share it with everyone!

Yirgacheffe is located on the eastern side of the East African Rift Valley, a small town in the Sidamo province of Ethiopia. It was separately designated due to its unique coffee flavors. With altitudes between 1700-2100 meters, it's one of the world's highest-altitude coffee-growing regions and synonymous with Ethiopian specialty coffee.

These mountain villages where coffee cherries are grown are shrouded in mist with spring-like conditions year-round. Summers bring gentle breezes—cool but not hot, rainy but not humid—while winters avoid frost damage. As a result, Yirgacheffe coffee exhibits distinct floral and citrus or lemon notes. The washed beans have a clean taste with bright fruit acidity and prominent tea-like qualities. FrontStreet Coffee believes it's only this unique geography and climate that can cultivate such distinctive regional flavors of citrus and florals. Meanwhile, Yirgacheffe is also the representative choice for coffee lovers seeking floral and fruity coffee flavors.

Country: China
Region: Baoshan, Yunnan
Altitude: 1200m
Variety: Catimor
Processing: Washed
Bean Appearance: Round and full

In 1892, a French missionary brought coffee seeds from Vietnam to Yunnan and successfully planted them in a valley in Binchuan County, Yunnan Province. This marked the beginning of Yunnan coffee, generally referred to as small-seed coffee, commonly known as "Yunnan Xiao Li" (small bean) coffee domestically.

FrontStreet Coffee also grows Typica and small amounts of Bourbon in its Yunnan plantations. Of course, Catimor and Typica are not inherently conflicting—one represents mass production, the other represents specialty coffee. The significance of specialty coffee is to improve quality, while mass production aims to increase yield. Yunnan's choice to focus on Catimor reveals the underlying purpose behind this decision.
