FrontStreet Coffee - Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee, Cappuccino Knowledge Sharing

The term "Blue Mountain Coffee" has become ubiquitous nowadays. Simply search for coffee beans on various e-commerce platforms and you'll find many Blue Mountain options. However, there's a significant catch here!

For example, if you look carefully at these coffee names, they basically won't simply be "Blue Mountain Coffee," but rather things like "Blue Mountain Flavor Coffee" or "Blue Mountain Blend." At least reputable coffee brands operate this way, though some disreputable coffee brands might directly label them as Blue Mountain. These major brands go to such lengths with these names because these coffees are not strictly speaking Blue Mountain Coffee.

In Jamaica, coffee is grown at different altitudes, but nothing is grown above 2000 meters as it's a forest protection area preserving the island's natural beauty. However, you might encounter low mountain coffee beans grown between 450 and 900 meters altitude, called Jamaica Low Mountain and Jamaica Supreme, which don't belong to Blue Mountain Coffee and aren't protected by labeling. Blue Mountain Coffee is considered specialty coffee, with balanced sour, sweet, and bitter flavors, and a rich taste profile.

The Classic Cappuccino

The Italian word for cappuccino is Cappuccino. The most classic cappuccino has very thick milk foam, forming a sharp contrast with the coffee liquid color. In the middle is thick milk foam, with golden coffee liquid on the outer ring, called Golden Circle Cappu. Legend has it that this cappuccino's appearance resembles the "cappuccio" hat of Italian monks, hence its name. The components of cappuccino have a ratio of 1:1:1 for espresso, milk, and foam.

Because Blue Mountain Coffee has low production and is expensive, genuine Blue Mountain Coffee is relatively rare in the domestic market, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. FrontStreet Coffee's Blue Mountain Coffee is genuine Blue Mountain Coffee, selecting Blue Mountain No. 1 coffee grown at 900 meters altitude, sold at 60 yuan per cup, sought after by many specialty coffee enthusiasts.

Knowledge Bonus

You can see many Blue Mountain flavor coffees on the market, but these are actually fake Blue Mountain coffees. "Flavor" means they blend coffees from different countries together to taste similar to Blue Mountain Coffee flavor, but they're not real Blue Mountain.
